22nd AMN Congress: Advancing Neurotrauma Care Through Global Collaboration
The 22nd AMN Congress, held in Bangkok, Thailand (July 4–5, 2025), following the NTSC Extended | AMN Intensives – Thailand Edition, brought together leading experts, clinicians, and researchers worldwide to explore the latest advancements in neurotrauma care, rehabilitation, and management.
With over 350 participants and speakers from 15+ countries, the Congress offered a platform for multidisciplinary exchange, fostering innovation and improving outcomes for patients affected by neurotrauma.
Multidisciplinary Approach to Neurotrauma
The Congress reinforced the importance of collaboration across specialties, from emergency medicine and neurosurgery to rehabilitation and neuropsychology. The spotlights included discussions on pre-hospital and ICU care, debates on neurosurgery topics, and sessions on Long-term rehabilitation strategies, focusing on cognitive recovery, spasticity management, and dysphagia treatment.
Bridging Gaps in TBI Policy
A panel discussion addressed the lack of political prioritization of TBI despite its global health burden. Experts from Germany, Austria, Thailand, and the Philippines explored ways to strengthen advocacy and healthcare policies.
Cutting-Edge Research & Guidelines
New findings were presented from the PRESENT Registry, as well as updated clinical guidelines for acute care, surgery, and rehabilitation, and biomarkers and biometric research shaping future TBI treatments.
Interactive Learning
Attendees engaged in real-world case studies on several topics, including severe TBI with elevated ICP, spinal cord injury management, and complex subdural hematoma cases. The Congress not only showcased groundbreaking science but also strengthened international partnerships, paving the way for better TBI care standards across regions.
