We bring you an exclusive interview with Bassem Boulous, a dedicated member of the Egypt delegation who took part in the inaugural edition of the Neurotrauma Treatment Simulation Center (NTSC) held in Vienna, Austria, from 16 to 20 May 2022.
The NTSC is a groundbreaking hands-on program emphasizing the multidisciplinary approach to neurotrauma care, with a vision to shift the treatment paradigm from short-term focus to long-term follow-up.
In the interview, Dr. Bassem Boulous discussed the significance of programs like NTSC in driving advancements in the early detection and early management of neurotrauma and shared his appreciation for the program and the example of good practice it provided. He shared his interest with regard to bringing the lessons from NTSC to his country and institution to continue the mission and vision of the program. Dr. Boulous his enthusiasm with regards to discussing and sharing knowledge and insight with other participants and shared that a main takeaway for him was the importance of multidisciplinary teams in treating neurotrauma.
