FOCUS GROUP GUIDELINES

The FOCUS GROUPS are approved by the AMN Management Committee.

The work agenda of the FOCUS GROUP , based on the development plan presented and approved by the AMN Management Committee , must support both the FG’s objectives and the Academy’s multidisciplinarity purpose throughout an entire year and, be it the case, on a longer term.

Each FOCUS GROUP proposes/organizes teaching events (e.g., courses, workshops, webinars, etc.) convergent to multidisciplinarity and these shall be, for example, either endorsed by AMN, or included in the international congresses, regional meetings, educational events, etc.

FOCUS GROUPS must follow the tri-dimensional dynamics developed by the Academy, i.e., organization and participation of/in international, regional & national scientific events or educational activities in all fields of neurotraumatology; the dialogue between national and international bodies concerned with neurotraumatology in research, medical practice and education; last but not least, the commitment to excellence through undertaking the aforementioned activities and intensifying cooperation with academic bodies and/or companies concerned with matters related to neurotraumatology.

The leading structure of a FOCUS GROUPS is based on a 3-year mandate of the MAIN REPRESENTATIVE. The FOCUS GROUP may opt for the re-election of its MAIN REPRESENTATIVE or designate a NEW MAIN REPRESENTATIVE, by rotation (every 3 years), with a different medical specialisation (preferably) or, if the case, from a different country (once a REGIONAL FOCUS GROUP is set up).

AMN will support the FOCUS GROUPS in its endeavours and may provide further expertise where and when needed.

Each FOCUS GROUPS must generate a reasonable amount of scientific, educational and/or informational content concerning the country it represents or any topic related to the field of multidisciplinary neurotraumatology. This content will be published on the official AMN website in the BLOG section and/or the periodical NEWSLETTER.
