I still recall with vividly fond memories of our last gathering and sincerely look forward to seeing you here!

To make this joint Meeting as successful as possible, the Scientific Committee and the Local Organizing Committee have exerted a great deal of efforts in making the scientific program as full as the attractions are diverse and varied. The professionally run event will surely afford unforgettable experience to all attendees. Besides sessions and courses which provide the neurosurgeons, neuroscientists, neurotraumatologists and neurorehabilitation specialists with a comprehensive platform to share their knowledge, exchange information and enhance understanding and skill, the joint Meeting will also offer fundamental and clinical sciences sessions, workshops to meet the attendee’s professional requirements.

Rest assured that I will do my utmost to ensure that you are given ample time required to develop social and interpersonal networks and friendships so as to promote more cooperation in the field on an international level. I am confident that together we have the power to advance this spirit of cooperation and push the boundaries of neurotrauma study in the Asia Region.

Dear Colleague,
We look forward to welcoming you to our exciting event related to traumatic brain injury (TBI) and spinal cord injury (SCI) with the relevant topic for our times:
Child, adolescent, and young adult victims of accidents, violence, and war.
We invite allied professionals from medical and non-medical disciplines to partici-pate fully in workshops and the scientific and social programs.
On Tuesday, pre-Congress workshops cover sports concussions and related edu-cational issues . This program will especially benefit educators and coaches deal-ing with students with TBI and SCI. The main scientific sessions (Wednesday & Thursday) will be held in a variety of formats—lectures, discussions, panel discus-sions, and oral slide presentations and led by top experts.
On Wednesday evening, we host the international release of an elegant, cathartic film by Judith Lindstedt and Dr. Robert Sargent Fay.
See you May 18-20, 2010 in Vermont.

Sincerely,

2010 International Congress President & AMN Executive Director

Donald G. Stein, Emory University Atlanta, Georgia, USA

As the Chair of the Scientific Committee, I am delighted to write this note of welcome to the 6th International meeting of the AMN and to thank Professor Dr. Dafin F. Muresanu, Secretary General of the Society for the Study of Neuroprotection and Neuroplasticity, and Dr. Alexandru Ciurea, President of the Romanian Society of Neurosurgery, and their colleagues for organizing this international and interdisciplinary event.
This is a wonderful opportunity for the scientific and professional community to come together and learn about neurorehabilitation and repair of the damaged nervous system in a collegial and scholarly setting.
The AMN meeting in Cluj-Naponca is especially appropriate because this historic city is one of the key academic centers of Romania.
I hope all of you will enjoy the meeting and come away from it with new insights and perspectives that can be applied and translated into more effective care and treatment for the victims of traumatic injury to the brain and spinal cord.
With very best wishes for a highly successful meeting and visit!

George P. Prigatano, Barrow Neurological Institute Phoenix, Arizona, USA

As the first President of the AMN it is my distinct pleasure to welcome you to the 6th Annual AMN Congress, which is being held in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
The AMN is a new and small organization aimed at bringing together clinicians, academicians, and researchers who have a common goal. The goal is to better understand how trauma to in the central nervous system disturbs function and what can be done to improve restoration of function based on our present knowledge within the neurosciences.
I regret that I am unable to attend this meeting, but certainly hope that I will have a chance to see many of you at future meetings. Professor Klaus von Wild, the General Secretary, would certainly be eager to hear from any of you regarding your thoughts concerning the AMN and ideas for improving our annual meeting.
1 would also like to take this opportunity to specifically address to Professors Muresanu and Ciurea my gratitude for their hosting this meeting and putting in the hard work of making sure that such a conference runs smoothly and successfully.

Alexandru Vlad Ciurea, President of Romanian Society of Neurosurgery, Romania
